Conference Marketing Support Request Form

Conference Marketing support is requested and resourced on an annual basis.

Conference submissions are due by October 11, 2024. Confirmation of approved marketing support will be shared as early as December 2024. Due to the late release of 2024-25 U.S. News and World Report rankings in October, some individual conference approvals may be delayed until specialty rank analyses can be calculated.

This form is only for conferences that support National Reputation (U.S. News and World Report rankings); if you are requesting conference support for recruitment needs, please reach out to your recruiter to discuss strategies.

If your clinical or operations teams are leading and coordinating an exhibit booth without marketing support and you would like to borrow a tablecloth or have system fact sheets, contact marketingrequests@choa.org.

National Reputation Conference Marketing Support Criteria:

For a conference to be considered for marketing support, it must align with one of the 11 specialties ranked by U.S. News and World Report. These specialties include:

Behavioral Health
Cancer
Cardiology & Heart Surgery
Diabetes & Endocrinology
Gastroenterology & GI Surgery
Neonatology
Nephrology
Neurology & Neurosurgery
Orthopaedics
Pulmonology & Lung Surgery
Urology

Marketing will review conference submissions to help ensure they align with the system strategy to improve national reputation via U.S. News and World Report rankings. The following will be taken into consideration when reviewing each request:

Support Considerations:

How is the specialty ranked by USNWR for 2024-2025?
Is there an opportunity to affect reputation score (per specialty rank analysis), and overall ranking with the help of marketing?
Does the specialty team actively participate in USNWR check-ins with quality team?
Is the conference local or national?
Are the conference attendees comprised of approx. 75% USNWR voting physicians?
Do other leading pediatric hospitals exhibit at the conference?
Will there be a large number of Children’s physicians attending or presenting?
Are there engaged physician leaders who will be present at the conference and willing to represent Children’s at a booth (if included in support)?
